cant really get hold of one was just going to plum it in directly briefly and see if that helps.

as for that photo do you mean that you want a photo to show you how much the pump is angled towards the engine or the rad? cause its pretty much dead upright

Sorry, please forget the photo request, I was just grasping at straws because this is a challenging problem that seems to have us all baffled without a Lexia session.

It would be a real risk to not use a fuel filter, even briefly as it only takes one small particle to ruin your day (if it hasn't already happened), though I believe others have got away with it.

I recently bought an inline filter off ebay for a few quid. It's not large enough to last as long but should flow enough for testing purposes.

i just dont get this car at the moment. there has been talk from other places that the injectors are not spraying the fuel but dribbling it in hence the problem does this sound likely? if so i just need to get them out, just noticed that injector 4 is quite "wet" aand the others are dry.

it seems like its choking at the moment,

poor power

black (very black) smoke

drinking like a fish

i might try to bybass the fuel filter later if i have time see if that makes a difference.

thats a job for today or tomorrow as its quite a big task and i still need to use the car,

i did have to plumb in the fuel lines differently as one of the clear ones broke when i was poking around.

this meant that i had to plumb it in directly to the pump on the way home.

and no difference so i dont think it is the fuel filter now.

Check the map morph and PM the one(s) nearest to you/easiest to get to and arrange a session with them.
If you could get to the Stratford meet at the weekend there will almost certainly be at least one Lexia there - but confirm in advance so as not to be disappointed.

hey thats like centre north london right?

if so it is going to cost me an absolute fortune to get there and i dont think i would have enough time the way the damn thing is running. also not sure of its reliabilty on such a long run, will look into pming a local lexia owner and see if i can get any luck there.
