Blimey thats expensive.
Its the joys of having an activa, you need a good wallet to go with it! :)

I'm miffed as I took a brand new back box off a TD hatch from the scrap yard incase Jim's sinker or Jenny needed it, and now Cassy is the one that needs a back box and I can't use it!

Tee-hee :)
Taking the thread totally off topic, did you catch the Now Show on Friday?
They asked the audience what good intentions/deeds had back fired.
One chap let an elderly gentleman get into a crowded lift and took the stairs, only to find out the lift broke down for an hour!
Someone else said their good deed was going on a blind date instead of their sister, and the back fire: 23 years of marriage and 2 kids :D

Edit: It's a good idea to check on both cats direct and online automotive (and any other places you know of) as some things are cheaper on one than the other.

Another quick look on Service Citroen has revealed that the 1.9TD backbox is the same part number as the TCT.

This saves me £30 with Online Automotive. Will have a look around to see if I can get one any cheaper.

EDIT: Or not - seems like an issue with the cookies on my computer. However, GSF list a back box for Xantia 2.0/1.9TD, which seems to suggest they are one and the same.

Could that be the 2.0i rather than the 2.0TCT?

Cats direct are about £5 cheaper than online automotive for the Activa back box

It may well be, but even then Service Citroen lists different part numbers for the 2.0i and the 1.9TD as well as the TCT.

GSF doesn't list the TCT seperately. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet and get the one from Online Automotive/Cats Direct that is listed specifically for the TCT.

I would go for one that is definitely for the TCT.

If you want a bit of "belts and braces" thoroughness, Bosal have the OEM numbers listed as cross-references - you could check it that way as well.

Cheers, Adam.
