Okay just back. Came away early from work. Snuck off.
As going along ALL 4 lights (Suspension level lights) came on.
The usual three short beeps as when going too fast in certain levels.
The level is about or just over a finger width above the tank halves. On normal height.
I took it to garage that did head gasget. He suggested the little rocker (Switches) under car, which I have experience of. However when opening the bonnet. I notices the pump, Pulsating slowly as if struggling.
The guy wasn't confident so suggested I took to...... Da.....da......daaaaaa!
Citroen dealler. Oh s**t!
Took to Montrose dealer. Said have all 4 lights for suspension on. They said, You'll have to book it in for Thursday and tell the engineer, Who was beside her, what you have told me.
A/ Book it in is ominous going on past experience (even if that aint the problem)
B/ I need the car to travel 65 miles to and from work.
C/ I can;t take time off.
Anyway.
I looked at pump again when sitting at house. Not moving at all.
Could it be just struggling if the suspension was up?
The light came on normal when I started after the garage and then went off?
Could this be the thing underneath?
Or are we looking at pump and eh...........how much?

A reconditioned exchange pump is available from BBA Reman but they don't list a price.
You might source a second hand one but that is something of a lucky dip.
Either way it will need fitting, which will presumably involve draining and refilling the system with LDS.
Can't swear to this but I have a notion that the new pump needs integrating into the system with a Lexia.
How about contacting the other people who did your previous work and getting some price guidelines from them.
IIRC a dealer-sourced pump is in the region of £600.
A Lexia session might give a better idea of what the problem was - nearest one to you is DHallworth in Glasgow.
The thing underneath the pump is the pump/suspension ECU and it could very well be that at fault. It is essentially this that would need to be coded in with a Lexia if the pump is changed.

That's reassuring.
We will see what happens but if so, I will scrap. Fed up. Will just have to wait until I can afford a non citroen.

when i changed mine i got one from a breakers for about £40 delivered, fitted it myself only took about half hour.
i put some lds is and it actually pumped up and had a mate at a citroen garage do the drop to low and bleed cycle and ran lovely after that, cost me about 75 all in
did run it for couple of weeks before went into Citroen too and seemed fine to be honest

SO no Lexia thingie here then?
Who knows, the pump was pushing (rocking rythmically) but there may have been another reason for it.
Just have to wait and see.
Can anyone confirm this.
Make sure I am getting this right- you fitted it, and then ran it for a couple of weeks BEFORE having the bleed done.did run it for couple of weeks before went into Citroen too and seemed fine to be honest

I wouldnt think tyre would have any effect on your problems no.
As mentioned, my C5 had LHM and LDS in the tank. It was fine for a while but the two didnt mix too well (i didnt put anything in the tank), it started foaming and caused a leak. The pump then got very noisey and was very slow to lift or lower the car. I took it to a citroen indy who flushed the LDS system, filled up with new and bled the system.
The indy said he has seen quite a few C5s with LHM in them now, only one has required a new pump.

My car's pump seems to lift okay. No real problem of speed.
It may be a glitch. Had one in other car when suspension lights went wonky. Plus the thingie on the under car went and got us stuck bouncing along in France.
The pump moving may have been because of soemthing else????
Another question.
The garage guy (Bosch) said that he can diagnose enging problems using his machine but not suspension problems.
IF there was an error would this not be read?

Depends on the version of the Bosch system, they seem to be able to read some ECU's but not all.

Electrical?????
http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/snapfishuk/s ... 3303367010
It happened on way home tonight. However, I am beginning to think it could be electrical.
Yes the car seems to rise slightly at the front when driving and goes up and down more than usual when sitting.
However I noticed the lights and beeps came on just after I switched lights on.
Then I noticed the lights on dash, as in the picture above, had disappeared after I switched lights off. (I never saw them go off at the same time) and the level indicator returned to the normal green position.
Anyway as an experiment, when I drove up my road, I switched the lights on again and BEEP BEEP BEEP, the levels lights came back on.
Now if it is electrical could it affect heights and cause the suspension movement I experienced?
Also, have car booked into dealer (sigh) for tomorrow, just trying to get transport to Aberdeen. An idea of what you guys think re this would be helpful as I like to go in to these guys armed with at least some knowledge, given past eperiences.
Incidentally the buzzy thingie on the top right of engine bay still...err buzzes. Not usre if this could be related. Would put photos up but as you see I have forgotten how to and it's in a precious post titled "Name that tune", if I recall.

That's a lot of £££££s! Worth it if they find and fix the problem though.
