Nope, mineral.

On a side note, do you have a blog on your 100% veg conversion?
I was thinking about that a while ago.

Ta
It would be a very short blog :

If I solve this issue I'll post it up here. For now I'm reverting to the dip-stick.

Xac - heheh. I will have to look into that, especially as the Xantia seems to have a horrendous MPG. Shame vegetable oil has rocketed in price since being used for fuel. Is Extra Virgin like Super Unleaded! :D

Cheers for the info guys.

I've just adjusted my toe-in/out using the string method - due to feathering on the tyres, that might improve things some what.

It's just a 1996/7 1.9 D - sadly no turbo.

If yours is just a 1.9D, then don't just throw veg in.
I believe they had a mix of lucas and bosch, so you'd have to check it's a bosch.

1.9D is supposed to get at least in the high 40s for mpg.

Cheers for the pointer Xac, so it just comes down to type of seals and strength of pump for this vehicle? Can I just swap pumps?

Asda veg oil is over £1/litre now, is it still worth it? Can I buy bulk clean stuff at lower prices?
