lumpy start and white smoke 1.9 td

Ahhhhhhhhhh just fitted a temporary ariel and now ive blown 3 fuses replaced them but now the doors wont stay locked unless the ignition is on and the fuel gage reads empty even though theres £30 worth of deisel in there the top hose is still leaking and i still cant fix the lumpy start and white smoke im going to have a look at a Xantia on Ebay which was pointed out on FCF with rear wheel arch rust if i can get it at the right price i might just swap the engines in them and break the xantia for parts.
