wow  That some impressive power from the old 8v CT engine! That's one sweet Activa :D 8-)

Gone for any 1/4 mile runs yet, or rather the metric equivalent?

Just to clarify is that 266hp at the wheels or flywheel?

Everyone will be doing CT engine conversions now! I make that around 312lb ft of torque, something a V6 can only dream of.

Had i got hold of a car that required a lot of work, like Jim's latest project, i could have taken the big turbo and management route and get some real power from the CT, in the end i had to sell the car before i took that route as i didnt want to take away its originality.

1/4 mile:

14.656sec
155.91km/h

That's with 1,5bar boost, rolled it with 2bar :P

Nice, i think you can say its now a genuinely quick car with those figures!

Quite a lot of boost though. Back in the day my Maestro with minor mods and a bar of boost did a 14.6 (in mid 13's now) with minor mods although it is 300kg lighter!

Video is private ;)

I know it's alot of boost, but compression ratio is so low, so it doesn't really matter that much. And when i finally get it broken, i'll do it stonger and more powerful ;)

Try that.

I agree the engine is quite capable, as ypu say the comp is so low (too low imo) that 1.5 bar isnt much as long as its mapped fine and running good inlet temps.

Now it's working.

Next step might be installing non-turbo xu10 8v cam, few more horses.

Induction needs still some modifications, I did install new filter, but cold air feed is a problem.. Thinking of getting another bonnet so I could do a scoop for it :P Might look quite stupid tbh...
