I really enjoyed looking at those CX pictures, thanks Andrew for posting them 8-) One of the best looking Citroens of all time.

On my wish list would be a S2 CX saloon, superb cars. I loved my dads old 22TRS, one of the last CX saloons to be registered. It was lovely, i was sad to see it sold really.

There is an elderly gentelman not all too far from here who still runs a White S1 CX as his only car. We used to service it and i can remember having a little drive of it years ago, maybe when i was 12ish - private farm track. He still has it and it seems to be holding up well, considering it lives outside.

Cant say ive seen another on the road for many many years.

I do quite like the CXs.

Theres one up the road that sits in the drive looking abandoned. I've often been tempted to go and ask how much he'd let me have it for

I never venture there myself now, that'd be too much like reading Frugg's own personal website too... :?

That's shocking Andrew  I'm sure all your CX expertise is most valued. There cannot be many with your level of knowledge. Is that not a CX in your avatar?

It would be like me saying I never visit a Xantia forum these days....

Jim, I used to be there a lot. I stopped at my 665th posting...

I've spent the past 20odd years tinkering with many Gs and Cx models
and sadly have had a large number dismantled too so do know how they
all go together and what makes them tick but I have my reasons for not
visiting cxclub or the citroenflatfour any more; I guess it's a personality
thing and I needed time out from them...

Fair enough, It just means i have almost exclusive access to your CX knowledge here! 8-) As i dont think too many of the Cxforum venture over here, i think the "crossover" site would be the xmforum.

fair enough Andrew, I understand :D

Only too happy to have both you and your CX know-how here, makes a good change from Xantia!

Dave, have you joined the CCC. There is always a top CX column every month in the CCC mag by Graeme. He posts on here and the BX Club forum as Aerodynamica...

Certainly have Jim, joined during the dsm rally last year!
I do rather look forward to the monthly citroenian, and do read graeme's column with interest.

I was quite interested in his documenting the replacement of a CX rear subframe.

The next Cx arrived today bringing the total to two, sadly I was not able to take delivery of it, that was my dads Job.
He sais it will be a shame to use it for bits as it looks to be a nice car :?

I am looking forward to seeing it in the flesh and ill take some photos when i next go back!

Well, doddington, and its sat near the the shed like prestige!
Does seem to be a bit of a magnet for Cx's though.
Once the Xm is done perhaps the Cx wil get welded and used for a bit...
Got to weld the Xm first though!

I reckon you'll get the CX on the road Dave and much prefer it over the XM. The nearest I've come to driving a CX is sitting in one but for me, just one sit was enough to convince me the CX has the best driving position of any car I've ever driven :D

I'd love to try driving one...

Is the 2.5 engine the same as in the 2.5 XM?

No, i dont think the engines the same.

I now have all three in storage, the two prestiges look awful, but i had a drive of the white 2.5 and its great 8-)

I think ill get that one up and running first as i cant bring myself to destroy it for its engine, it came with a massive sheaf of history and seems well looked after!
