Does that look like yours ?
It does indeed Simon.

Here's the one I've bought:

David I'm following with interest but not posting because I have nothing useful to add to the already excellent posts made. Be sure I'm here and wishing you all best for every success with this C5..

Will you be at Wetherby on Sunday?

Hoping to be Jim.

Not sure what in yet though! If its dry the XM, if it's raining it'll be the Activa or if the councils spread any salt it'll be the Range Rover!

Until it wouldn't start the other day I did say to Citroenmad and R9UKE that I was thinking of taking it to Wetherby.

Unfortunately I think that boats sailed!

Hmm, I'm not sure that I would trust my car for that trip either, not without an AA membership anyway. :-D

Is this another Citroen gathering I haven't heard about ? I really must try and get to one that's within drivable distance one day, this one is bad timing falling as it does in the middle of moving house, plus I would want to get a few more things done (including engine/gearbox oil changes, and AA membership!) before considering a trip of that length. ;) My previous Xantia was reliable to a T, and I wouldn't have even hesitated to drive a 400 mile round trip to far away places in it, but not this one! At least not with a dodgy gearbox.

Shame Simon that you can't make it as Wetherby is the closest one for you and you could convoy down with David, at least the southern part of the journey.

Yup...

Don't think I'd be given the keys to the 4.4 TDV8!

Simon, it'll be a long day but you'd be welcome to come down with me.

Yea, saw that Ben. My XM is a high day and holidays car so only goes out in good weather. Last year it did 44 miles as the weather was awful, the year before it did 1200 miles and it lives indoors all the year round, it's never seen salt or rain so I don't wanna be throwing filthy stuff in it.

If it's either clean or wrapped and goes in the boot then I don't mind helping :)

Thanks for the offer David, I would seriously consider it but we're knee deep in house moving so I couldn't take a day away from that this weekend.

Hopefully next time there is a meet up within drivable distance I'll be ready! :)

If you do change your mind, Simon, let us know.

It's a long day but good fun, it's a 480 mile round trip.

Thanks David

I would have very much enjoyed the trip especially in the XM or Activa, I've never been in either models before, unfortunately as our moving out deadline is fast approaching we're spending every moment outside work sorting/packing/moving/cleaning, so there's just no way I could make it this weekend.

Thanks anyway. :)

No worries, Simon.

Both cars are now on the road so if we get a decent day and you're not working give me a shout and we can meet up again.

Regards

David.
