The only one I've ever bargained for was the blue V6 Xantia.andmcit wrote:Seems to be some very keenly priced cars there too David - you must be a difficult man to do business with?
Andrew
It was up at £695 from a trade seller so I offered £600 and he accepted.
That was 4 years ago now.
All of the others I've paid the asking price for.

Very interesting blog
Id no idea how many cars you have had or that your only 23. Rather makes me look like i stick with cars too long, im onto my 6th at 22. Your car history is also full of interesting cars!
Ive not seen so many V6 Citroens, you've certainly had a fair few. All very good looking cars. I like the Mauritius Blue V6 and Activa, thats a very nice colour for a Xantia.

Well after almost 2 months of no updates, quite a lot has changed really.
First of all my 306 HDi started to need a lot of work doing to it so I've decided to retire it from daily service and have repalced it with a 2007 Citroen C6 V6 HDi Exclusive in storm grey.
I collect the car on good Friday, what a car it is! Electric everything, it's so smooth, and soooooo quiet with it's double glazing. It really is a joy to drive.
Economy isn't great for a Diesel though, it takes around £80 - £90 to fill it and on the last tank I got 400 miles from it.
I've not got pictures yet but these will hopefully come this weekend as it's filthy after it's run home from Grimsby where it was traded in against an Audi A4. The guy who bought it new lost £28k in 2.5 years in depreciation on this one!!
Also, on 7th April (Wednesday) my 2000 Citroen XM V6 Exclusive with 50k miles started it's 8000 mile voyage in a 20 foot air tight container.
The car is due to arrive in Grangemouth where I will collect it on 17th May by trailer and take it back home where I will need to reregister it and get it plated for our roads again.
I purchased the car from it's original owner who has been a member of the Citroen Car Club for years and won the concourse competition with this car back in 2001.
For anybody who is interested, here are some pictures I was sent by the owner and I will take some fresh ones of this when it arrives as well.
I'm also being told by the parents who are getting fed up of seeing Citroens that my 1992 Series 1 V6 24v XM might have to go as well which I'm not impressed about!
