You could put any engine you want in there. Knowing your fondness for a 3.0 v6 I bet you want to!!!!!!! [emoji12] [emoji48] [emoji3]

Nah, not in this one Davie. :)

I'm keeping this one for a V8 I think. I nice 3.5 V8 on carbs will do the trick just nicely.

If you go V8, it darn well better have a straight through exhaust on it, and then we need videos of it in action with a decent mic used in the recording...

Still miss the scruffy V8 L plate Range Rover we had at the garage once, it was a trade in to clear (and a bit of a shed) so it was my work runaround for a couple of months. It had a straight through pipe on aside from a cherry bomb at the back - and the rear screen surround was rotten. This meant that the tailgate would pop open if you gave it beans off the mark. Which then meant you could hear it...I never bothered closing the screen after I discovered that. Was actually pretty quiet low down, but the moment you hit about 3500rpm it started to howl like a 60s Ferrari...I was really sad when it eventually got sent to the auction!

I do have an audio recording of it, albeit of horrible quality due to the tech I had at the time.

V8 is on the list of "must own" and hopefully not all that far off - most likely be in a Rover P6 though rather than a Landie.

Well nothing much to report on the car front.

The C6 had a trip to RAF Cosford weekend before last for the 10th Anniversary gathering. It covered all of the miles in total ease and didn't miss a beat. It was detailed a few weeks before we went so the finish on the paint is nothing short of fantastic now :)

I'll try and upload some pictures later in the week when things have quietened down a bit with work.

I got back from Cosford on Monday afternoon around 3pm and I was out of the door at 6am on the Tuesday heading for Skipton in North Yorkshire. I did there and back in a day and have been busy with work ever since so it's been a busy and tiring, but thoroughly enjoyable couple of weeks!

Titter  Fed up with cars and now you have a Series3? That! is what you call "creating work for yourself" .
It'll be the old "parts are cheap" thing.........yeah you need hundreds of them  Have you driven it yet David? Well you don't actually drive them........you ride them

You will get decent money back but I dare you to keep receipts! Dad will be pleased with it? Good toys mind you . One of mine was same engine and year but 109 SW with tropical roof. Toured and camped all over during a 5 year period with that one. 27mpg on tour with overdrive.

I drove it once and it broke down

Was only up the lane by the house and ended up having to get towed home. Didn't even make it to the next door neighbours driveway 1/2 a mile away lol.

I think the engine is a bit tired tbh so I'm seriously toying with the idea of a V8... Dad doesn't approve though and thinks I should rebuild the 2.25 diesel. :(

V8 and a gas conversion would be nice. You can spend serious money rebuilding those old 11J diesel engines and still only 62BHP!

There is something about belting around country roads in a Series. Flat out on the old diesel would be about 60 but felt like a ton! The handling was.......exciting! My last Series: 61 tax exempt.

All great fun!

Absolutely, exactly what Team WFA are doing witha Cobra Kit car.. ES9J4 turned round, into a RWD gearbox and Hydractive all-round..

Sweet :-D

Are Team WFA going to think about one of my other suggestions? H Van, ES9J, Activa Suspension? Might be fun (once things such as cooling are worked out!).
