Strange... on service.citroen.com it shows as NFP...

Image

They list it at £154 as well.

I'll ring my dealer on Monday and see what they say.

Well... It's official and I'm not ashamed to admit it... I'm an idiot

I took the old electrovalve out tonight to look at it and discovered that it's not corroded away. The O ring looked a little squashed out of shape so I took it off and decided to prod what looked like a black ring underneath it with a tiny screwdriver. Much to my shame it turned out the black ring underneath my new o ring was actually the old green o ring that I hadn't removed when I fitted the electrovalve to the car.

I've put a new green o ring on it tonight, refitted it to the car and tested it and I can confirm that she's now leak free! :D

That'll teach me for doing these jobs with a torch at half past ten at night when there's nothing on the TV and nothing else to do!

I'm well impressed with that car given the little mileage that it's done over the last few years. Last weekend it did more miles then it did in the 12 months previous and it's only hiccup was caused by yours truly. It's a shame the weather has been so bloody awful up here today as I'm itching to take it out for a run now. :(

I thought all owners of French cars were somewhat cracked, and when they had massively lost it they might even arrange for their cars to be in Seine!

Well I can confirm that it was indeed me being a plank. The Activa is now LHM tight and is driving perfectly once again. :)

Well, the sphere charger has landed... It's a great tool and everything is there :D

It's got the complete trolley that the gas bottle sits on...

Image

The sphere screws into the side of the trolley so that it's secured whilst your regassing it...

Image

There's a pipe that runs from the socket that the sphere is mounted into and runs into a bottle to collect the LHM...

Image

The gauges are complete, one of the gauges shows the pressure left in the gas bottle and the other shows the pressure in the sphere...

Image

The valve goes into the tool as below and is screwed onto it...

Image

The genuine Citroen valves are identical to the tecnosir ones that you can still buy... :D

Image

However... The best bit is the original genuine Citroen instructions are with it...

Image

The 3rd page shows the pressures for a couple of models of sphere...

Image

The 4th page shows the insturctions for using the charger...

Image

I've got a masssive pile of spheres here that I need to sort out, I'll work out which ones I've got that are genuine Citroen ones and bin the rest.

I'll upload pictures of the DS Rally shortly once I've had a chance to sort through them.

David.
