It really does Jim! I'm looking at it out of the window twinkling under the light with all the water sitting in little droplets. It really is great.

The only fly in the ointment is... I've heard that my old 2.7 Exclusive is coming up for sale... It's the same age as this one, has 2 more cylinders, but has every option bar the sunroof fitted to it so I'm at the point of thinking that I might move this 2.2 on to free up space and funds to have the V6 back.

Then the sensible side of me kicks in and says keep this one as it's in such good condition...

I don't know!!

David.

The only thing it now needs is some spirited driving (and braking) to get those disks clear of their rust!

I'd driven it 40 miles on the Sunday before dropping it off for detailing. That that was the result of being washed at 8am and sitting around being polished for the rest of the day! A very gentle home from the detailer to stop it getting spray up the sides saw the brakes spotless again!

Will probably be taking it for a run tomorrow evening again anyway as it's the local CCC meet on the other side of Glasgow.

Sounds good to me! Not sure SWMBO would agree! (I'm still not sure how I managed to get the XM!)

No, she's quite capable of designing & building her own kitchen!

Actually, I think the quirky style of the XM appealed to her as a designer.
