motorised heater flap

Glad to report some progress in that I have managed to Araldite
a lever onto the extension drive that fits over the spline on the motor,
which is the same as the one illustrated by weety @

I can now at least move the flap manually.

Sadly Clogzz
there was no provision for connecting a cable .

I was unable to detect any resistance across any of wires feeding the motor.

I am sure that those more knowledgeable will probably be able to confirm that it is a stepper motor .

I am convinced that putting a "simple" voltage on to them would achieve nothing.

weety's other photo's show the a/c ecu in situ and also extracted from it's hiding place.

I am sure these photos will be a great help to others and that he will forgive me for drawing attention to them.

If only I had found them first it would have saved some time and damage.

Nice to read that you've got heat again, thanks to a failsafe lever. :twisted:
The flap motor is indeed a stepper motor, and can't be operated with a voltage only.
