I'm sure they handle great, but the front looks wrong to me, the concave rear window (which I've heard lights up on the inside when you brake) and boot are just wrong, should have been a hatchback.
It's bulbous rather than sleak.
I much prefer the looks of the XM or Xantia or first Laguna II
From certain angles it demonstrates that Citroen went through a design period of using fish as their inspiration, like the first C5's (you look at an old C5 estate and tell me it doesn't resemble a salmon)

I too really desire a C6.
Would you mind telling us more about driving them, and how it feels?
Can you really make the spoiler go up with press of the wiper stalk?
Whats the soft air diffusion like? is it still noisy? Is it really draft free?
How cool is it to have a digital rev-counter? Whats the sat-nav like? Do you smile every morning when you get in it?

Well, when you get their coat trapped in the door and with all that torque I bet it does.

We have a rule in Australia, that if you own a car in NZ for several years (two or three; can't remember exactly) you can then bring it more readily into Oz as a personal import - less has to be changed for registrability.
I reckon this would be the way to own a budget level C6 in Australia. It's very tempting!
But the concave rear window is trying to take hints from the CX, which in my opinion is a great looking car. One nice feature about the concave rear window (well it was on the CX) is that rain water from the roof would stream down the centre of the window, leaving the rest free for vision. Before the Xm all big Citroens were saloon cars, not hatchbacks. CX, DS and tractions all have a boot lid rather than a hatchback. I think it looks good, especially the view from the back, very nice. Compared to a lot of modern cars its very sleek looking. Though we all have our own tastes.
Ive got to agree about the lagunaII though, really nice looking cars, easily the best family sized hatch for looks. Though i love the 407 and will possibly get one in a year or so, the renault is not as reliable as id like, hence why i got a C5 again.
Though the C6 was never going to be a huge sales sucess, very large french cars rarely are. I think depreciation is the main factor, just look how good value the 607 and Vel Satis are now, but they cost a vast amount when new.
There is just something about C6s for me, really do like them, everytime i see one i stop and stare.

I love the look of the c6 too, i think it is like an evolved Cx. I drove one at the cxm rally last year owned by a way too trusting guy called Keith. The ride was absolutly brilliant and the handling was awsesome. (The guy wanted me to prove that the pop spoiler really did pop up (on a private road )
Its the only citroen post xantia i actually like!
