They look good, though ive no idea what makes a good snow chain :lol:

Are these best used on steel wheels, might they damage alloy wheels?

Not sure about alloys - looking at the video clip on the Alfa they use I reckon they are alloys so shouldn't be a problem. Guess a phone call would solve :?:

If I have to use them I will be sure to update this thread.

I'd have gone for something like these on some spare steel rims :)

Let us know how they go though. was just on the A628 earlier today in teh swift and it was very deep snow at some points off the beaten track. When you get to the top after the pub there is a small right turn and there were cars surround by snow and ice, even a daihatsu 4trak had been left. the swift came upstuck on a steep incline so had to reverse back down.

Snow was reat fun sledging down the hill and then a quick dash home as poor little matthew had got really cold legs and arms and hadn't told me! poor sod so some warm orange juice and mine and rachels coats got him back in good order super quick.

Fingers crossed they keep you going :)
