MJM, thanks for the comprehensive rundown on drier life expectancy. It was very informative and will help some of my decisions.

I can tick two off the list :D

1/ Suspension going intermittently hard.

2/ Loss of power / limp home mode.

3/ Aircon not working.

4/ Headlamp washers not working. ( _/ ) *** NOW SORTED , WAS THE PUMP RELAY , 4 SOLDERED JOINTS FRACTURED !! ***

5/ Heated seats not working on 1st two settings.

6/ Find a front undertray.

7/ Sort out various brackets and pipe supports under the bonnet.

8/ Replace oil temp / oil level sender.

9/ .......... I'm sure there was something else , errrmmm ! Ah yes , weak ventilation !! ( _/ ) *** NOW SORTED , POLLEN FILTER !! ***

Only 7 to go then !!
Now using '00 Xantia LX HDI, pov spec :(

3 More items off the list and it only took a year :oops:
I could have added 2 more in the meantime though, but I sorted them before I could add them to the list, NS drop link and crank pulley.


1/ Suspension going intermittently hard. *** NOW SORTED, ALL FOUR CORNER SPHERES AND THE ACCUMULATOR REPLACED, NORMAL SERVICE NOW RESUMED !! ***

2/ Loss of power / limp home mode. *** NOW SORTED, BY REPLACING THE MAP SENSOR !!! ***

3/ Aircon not working.

You're getting there HDI :D

Heated seats may prove unrepairable unless you want to get to the heating elements; they normally break and not really very easy to fix at all :cry:
