Black and made of leather

Seriously, MK1 Activa leathers are the choicest of all the Xantia seats. Better even than Mk1 Exclusive seats and MK2 leathers..

The cloth Activa seats are stupendously comfy as well. Not much in it really but again, cloth Activa seats are the best of all the Xantia cloth seats :D

very curious now, hopefully there will be a fair few activas on the 18th to have a look round. my dad used to love renault seat, i have found the s2 exclusive leathers a little less comfy than his safrane seats, maybe even less than his old laguna seats but the unique ride always more than made up for it.

It does not even have storage in the rear of the front seats!

That car is very tempting although the poverty spec means it isn't that tempting!

i believe your right, i have to have more than 4 cylinders in my car, thats how weak i am. the thought of getting a lefty v6 from france is the other idea

OR since this is turbo charged and the gears a lot closer than the v6 some decent size turbo could be put on it. i don't know much about this engine but i read in some of the other activa posts it can take 300bhp and i suppose a decent amount of torque, just in its standard form.
What was it like when she put her foot down!

Nice V engine sound you can't beat it, unless you compare it to a V8! 8)

well, she wasn't very pleased that i was terrified when she hit 30mph and was getting ready to put her foot down, but she's very alert so after the initial bit it was actually fun being passenger round the track

funny you should also be thinking v8, i have been thinking what a small v8 in one of these would go like, probably in a simpler hydractive though, where the linkages aren't there to contend with

You guys know there' s a place nearby here on the forum to chat about
all things Activa!!

OK, so I'll join in here talking about seats:

just used my eyes properly (probably for the first time in ages!!) and paid
some attention to the seats in the different Activae s1's and s2 and picked
out an odd anomaly.

All but 1 are cloth in the various wild tartan patterns but appear the same
with varying degrees of wear to the squab side bolsters although the s2
has electric adjustment for some reason but IIRC still uses the telescopic
piston to adjust the main seat height. That all said, one has an extra
twiddly adjustment that has significant adjustment consequences to the
backrest where the side bolsters move in or out in in grip the waist and
by god they're brilliant!!

Why don't they all have this and was it an £ optional extra? :?

If the others grip well, these are head and shoulders above all other Xantia
seats. I appreciate the lekky leather seats have a similar expand/contract
adjust on the bolsters but I'm not really a big fan of leather seats!

I have seen the "bolster grabbing" setup on my 405Mi16. Has someone swapped seats into an Activa?

The S2 Activa didnt have the side bolster adjustment because of the airbags fitted in them.
