Well, according to Wikipedia, the Challenger 2 tank has hydro pneumatic suspension. Will that do, Steve?

The best bit about the blackvue is that it auto marks and saves incidents
So if something is enough of a knock to set it off then it saves it and won over rite it
parking mode only records when motion is detected, though this sensitivity like the others can be dialled up and down
And there is other software out there i have a copy of which knits the videos together as well
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheKingpleb/videos" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The puddles and grey bonnet ones are mine
PS the discos ones look strange as the autozoom was having a hissy fit being left on the dash so close to the window and the wiper resting spot so isnt great and most of the were recorded at 15fps but i've been changing the settings around for a much better quality of late and they only seem to get better. There is even a wifi one you can connect from your home pc while its sat on the drive to review the stuff

Re: C6 - The adventure continues........in blue
Well, this week has been a pig.........
Got pulled over on Sunday night on the way home, to discover the MOT had run out
£60 lighter....... It was my own fault I totally forgot

Booked the car in on Monday for Tuesday to get the MOT done, FAILED,
anyway, needed N/S/F suspension bush and 2 tyres.... more money.....
and yes they didn't have one in stock.........
I've had word from the mechanic to say she's ready to pick up, oh and by the way, it say's it has a suspension fault, but our diagnotic can't access it......
looks like a Lexia session in the morning to clear it once I've found out why.....
I've had the "Pleasure" of Sarah's Dinky Toy for the last couple of day's............ can't wait to get the C6 back.

Bad luck on the Mot front, don't often here of people being pulled for it though but I guess with it being electronic now it's much easier for anpr to see it.
I saw a nice black '10 plate this evening in Stockport and thought of you as well and come home to see the threads updated

Mark's struggling with work at the moment, I'm hoping it's soon. Ideally I'd like to run it down to CXM,bxzx16v wrote: Any news on the volcane ?

I'll given him a shout this week and see what's going on

Re: C6 - The adventure continues........in blue
The C6 is back and MOT is now current.......... however, I've got a suspension fault, which I think is one of the stepper motor's going into over drive, When Mike did the suspension bush, he noticed "something falling apart" but managed to push it together, now it's either the suspension sensor (my gut feeling) or the stepper motor.
The reason I say sensor is that, if you drop the suspension and then raise it it becomes as soft as normal, but, over a period of time, it goes rock hard and high, but only at the FRONT
the back stays the same as normal.
So it looks like I'm going to have to order a sensor, once I've had the lexia on it, which I haven't had chance to do...... YET!!
I'm not likely to get chance until Tuesday or Wednesday to do that so "watch this space" as they say.............

Re: C6 - The adventure continues........in blue
Are the sensors an electronic version of the height corrector on a Xantia? If so, are they like those used on a C5? If so, IIRC somebody had a problem the one on a C5, and when they opened it up they found poor solder joints on the PCB for the connector. Re-soldering the joints cleared up that problem.

That was nice of the police to remind you about your MOT, certainly doing a grand service!
Now that MOTs are electronic, I think there should be a mailed reminder about the renewal date. On occasion we have had cars out of MOT, it can be hard to keep track of them.

To be fair the "bobby" did say it's not something that the DVLA send reminders for, although, having checked, you can set up a text reminder for the princely sum of £1.50 and out of the goodness of their hearts they will send you a subtle hint........Citroenmad wrote:That was nice of the police to remind you about your MOT, certainly doing a grand service!

I've just set a reminder in my phone a week early

Re: C6 - The adventure continues........in blue
I would set it about 6 weeks early. You can renew the MOT a month before it expires, and then you have (in effect) 13 months MOT. If it fails, you still have a month of the old MOT running.
I knew I remembered the C5 height corrector!!;
