I'll have to ask him how many boxes he has had but I think a lot of it stems from LR being stupid and stating try are sealed for life when really every 50k they should have at least a flush and every 100k a filter on my reckoning and research.

Re: C6 - The adventure continues........in blue
I spent some time on the old girl yesterday, giving me a bit of a spit and polish.

One of the jobs that I planned to have a go at with the interior was to try and give it a steam clean, First of all I got the study chair out, thinking that this would be a good basis for practice, being as the chair is cream leather as well, I scrubbed the chair with leather cleaner first and then got the steam cleaner on it, NOTHING
it didn't do a damn thing, so decided not to waste anytime on trying it on the car.............
I wanted to get the wheels off and give them a good clean, so as they came off I noticed how rusty the calipers were:

So thinking to myself I'll get a wire brush and give them a rub down and blow the dust off with a can of air, whilst rummaging for the air can I found some high temperature paint and thought why not
I couldn't think of a reason not to so ...... yes... I painted the calipers:

The job is nowhere near as good as " The VINCEmeister" would do, but it's a start and she does look a bit cleaner:

The plan this afternoon is to get out and take some pictures, SWMBO bought me a new camera at Christmas and I haven't really had the time to play............... so I think that looks like a good idea this afternoon..
On the car front, the spoiler seems to be behaving again ( still can't work it out) there really isn't much to report, apart from the recent visit to Rigbyes with (@CCCNorthern) where we managed to get 5 C6's lined up for a photoshoot:

The painted calipers look great through the spokes in the wheel steve.
The mauritius blue is a stunning colour as well. Seeing that picture really makes me want another to be honest!
David.

I went for a run out yesterday down to the docks at Preston:

Then over to Southport (The Coastal Road), This one is quite strange...... You can see Lytham in the distance (across the Ribble Estuary), but if you go to Lytham you can't see Southport!

Then Southport Pier:

Then the old Hospital:

Back via St Michaels church in Longton:

The bell tower here is different, There is a sun dial on one side and a normal clock on the other:

Excellent pictures Steve, your car is looking great too. I much prefer the blue to your previous grey colour, looks stunning.

Very nice Steve and I particularly like the swivel out screen on those. That's something I would like on my Nikon D90 I must admit... They last well those Canon's I must say - dad's still got his 350D and that must be nearly 6 years old now. I find the D90 pretty much perfect for what I need from a camera, but if I was to upgrade it would be to full frame. I wouldn't mind a D3 if one came up at a reasonable price second hand...Trainman wrote:SWMBO bought me a Canon EOS 600D for Christmas and I've not really had time to play with it....................to much![]()

Steve, your C6 looks amazing. If I buy another it will need to be in Mauritius blue but with the black interior I think!

Nothing fancy Franklin, I've only got 2 and they are EFS 18-55mm and EFS 55-250mm, still got a lot to learn with the photography, I really need some lessons but finding the time is really difficult at the moment, what with the project work I have, The Franchise renewal looming and a bit of a "sporting event" in LondonCitroening wrote: What lens/es have you got Steve?

The C6 is lovely. It still looks like a proper elegant super Executive Citroen.
Southport is excellent. Had a fabulous weekend there for a fishing buddy's wedding...........they know how to enjoy themselves
