How to mend a leaking hydraulics pipe?

Another old favrite is overfilling of the reservoir. Has the car been left a bit longer than normal - as the suspension may have settled a bit lower than normal and returned too much to the reservoir. If the reservoir has flooded there will be a mess all round it starting at the top.
