For the C5 I bought the tool & remap and did it myself. That way I can put the car back to standard if needed. If having a remap try to make sure that it's based on the map already flashed in the ECU, that way it will work as it should and you're not likely to get a 'generic' map that's been tweaked and had the immobiliser disabled to make it work.

I'm unnder the impression that RGXs can't be flashed (remapped) they have to have the EEPROM changed. Still I suppose it would be possible to have the boost modulator disabled if required.

There are loads on Fleabay right now, varying in price but strangely not power increase??
For example, the 2.2HDi goes from 133bhp to 160bhp and the torque figures increase from 314 to 370.
This one in particular looks to be switchable for more control?

Has anyone used any of these??

I had my 406 110 hdi re-mapped when i first got it.That was 56k miles, now on 109k miles, with original clutch with plenty of towing our caravan.Took power to 140 bhp ish & torque to 220lbft ish.I also have a K&N filter.gained about 5 mpg average according to the computer,& a nice bit of extra grunt.Cost £180 all in 3 yrs ago.
A friend has recently got a hdi 110 estate like mine.It leaves his standing(on a private track :D )

Also had my previous Xantia 1.9TD done by Vanaaken. That made a nice difference as well.
If i was to do it again,i would have a tuning box next time.
Now,what would happen if i fitted a tuning box to my 406???Would that give it an extra 30 bhp & take it to 170bhp???
