Strange Petrol Gauge issue
Moderator: RichardW
If its any consolation, the fuel gauge on my ZX seems to have a "humid weather allergy". I have travelled a couple of times to the humid part of the country and everytime I'm coming back to the city (which is a little colder and drier) there seems to be some kind of condensation taking place somewhere and the fuel gauge goes crazy: climbs then drops then starts vibrating and then dies.
A couple of hours later in the city climate and everything goes back to normal.
And there is always the voltage issue, as when I'm about to start it in the morning and while I wait for the electronic dipstick to end measuring, the fuel gauge will sometimes stay in empty. Only after I start the engine, the gauge will climb to the actual reading.
