Ok, I have been back off holidays for a week now and running around local has given me a mixture of results, Sometimes the car is very smooth as in soft mode and other times it seems to be harder, I am getting fed up now with understanding why this seems to be happening.

I know the next job will be to replace the rear centre sphere but will the rear anti sink affect it as i really need to try not to spend too much at the moment because i have come out of work. If i change the rear center sphere and that does not give me the ride i expect it might be time to replace the Exclusive with an ordinary SX. I could allways add leather seats etc and it will eliminate the extra spheres and circuitry that the Exclusive has.

After all i am only wanting a comfortable smooth ride and if needed the extreme measures of changing the model but be my only answer. I did notice today too that i had a drip in the car, no not me or the Mrs but a drip of water i think it might be leaking in through the aerial, if only it would stop raining so i can seal it, or i could move to a drier climate.. :)

Did a couple of little jobs today.

Sealed around the aerial..When it rains i will know if it a good job.

Fitted the mirror cover that Paul ( citroenxm ) sent me, I had to cut the edge that goes behind the mirror when it swivels back in place as it was fouling and wanting it to come back off..

Managed to take the cd changer apart and free the stuck disk..Cartridge is now freely going in and coming out but it still wont play. It loads but thats it, just comes up with error.

Got all the interior lights working pillar lights etc..Just bad connections.

Put a new sticker on the back window but you wont be interested unless you are a Liverpool supporter.. :D

Need to do a few more jobs when i next take time out from job hunting.

The suspension is the best it's ever been to be honest. Will go for a long ride tomorrow and report back.

Well that was some long ride don't you think..Considering the date i said i would report back..As an update the car has been running fine, Still not 100% all the time on the suspension, The longer i leave it ticking over then pull off the ride is better.

Have not had the inclination to post these days just been reading the posts as i come out of work a while ago and i have making some cash in various ways to keep from drowning..But, Had a call on Thursday to say i start a new job on Monday,, Yippee at last so it's back on the trucks for now across the UK so good times ahead again. It is only temp for now until christmas but i am waiting on another job to start so fingers crossed we will be able to buy a box of After Eight mints for xmas after all..

In the mean time it was my daughters 17th birthday and yes i did throw caution to the wind and bought her a little car,, A bright yellow Nissan Micra.. she loves it, as for the Xantia it.s MOT time next month so fingers crossed..Again..

Will not leave it so long before the next update as my frame of mind is nearing normal again aprt from the new job on Monday which seems more like im having a triple heart bypass instead of a new challenge, Im sure all will be ok. Keep the interesting posts on the blogs etc coming as i might not reply but get much info and enjoyment out of reading them..

Good luck with the new Job!! Hope all goes well :D

Micras are pretty good as a first car, my girlfriend would love a figaro, which is basically a suped up micra! (i suggested a CX but she wont have any of it)

I'd have thought that if you like her and want to keep her you'd better keep such thoughts to yourself

Excellent news Russ :D

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I'm sitting here suffering badly from a lack of Top Gear this evening.

All down to a load of old gents in sharp suits playing with their balls apparently. Billiards or something like that.

 That made me laugh i tell you, Thank god for the dongle i say otherwise i would be going mad.

I must say the old Citroen has done me proud so far and i am very very pleased with it, I could do with spending a bit of time on maintenence on the old girl but don't have time at the moment. Perhaps when the weather breaks i will do a few things, The way things are going with the weather that should be in 2015 at the earliest. :D

Well i hope you all had a good Xmas and New year.

The Xantaia has coped well in the snow, Has not let me down once, Started with no problem in all weathers, I hope i am not going to regret saying that..

Got me where i needed to be but for one ocasion which i did not even try, the steep hill up to us i parked at the bottom so i could get to work in the morning.

All in all i, as i have said before, am very pleased i bought the Xantia and the boys at work are impressed too.
Maybe one day i will have time to join in on the forum more but for now its head down for work..Off to Vienna for a week on Monday, If i see any Citroens i shall take some photos,

Well i don't get on here much but an update on the Xantia. Just returned from a 600 mile trip around Devon and a few weeks ago we did a 1200 mile trip around Cornwall. 60mpg on a run and not a bit of trouble. Still going strong and comfortable even with 159k on the clock.

All in all very pleased with the old girl and i think it's about time she had an oil change and a few small jobs done before the winter then hopefully she will be right for another trip when needed. You cannot fault the Xantias so anyone just reading the posts on the forum and thinking of getting one, Stop thinking and buy one.
