Well VV. I`ve enlarged that pic of yours up to 50 times. I can see a stress fracture of the molecular structure which tells me that the clip will break as you are late for work one morning :lol: :lol: :lol:

My setup has a long coil spring that works vertically. Which one is self adjusting? Now that I have been under to do job I should be able to do it without seat out. The creaking from pedal has stopped and all is well.........................SNAP! False alarm.......wifes Knicker elastic :lol:

lexi, upon reading your comments I had to rush to buy a nano tech spray specially manufactured to strengthen the molecular bonds :wink: No worries now :mrgreen:

It should (read must) stay in one piece during next week since I will be cruising/gliding abroad with my Xantia on a business trip.

PS: I have a print out of the how-to guide from the forum with me :lol:
