well got my lds next time will order online main dealer is major expensive
filled up, used a self bleed kit on the bleed screws and got as much air out as possible , refilled and connected my battery
pump running
suspensions come straight up and bit of citrobics and a drive out doesnt seem half bad at all, actually rides better than before pump packed up lol
old pump and electrics gone to my mates, his gaffer at work is gonna take a look and see if they can be repaired, so will keep you informed

Something else you really need to do is to check the suspension height back and front as part of the calibration for this is in the pump unit.

Yes And very pleasing too although there is very little I can contribute to any of them Us Xantia specialists are feeling a bit like spare parts nowmyglaren wrote: Has indeed - have you noticed how many more C5 related threads there are now compared to a year ago?
Funnily, this has happened before. The FCF was once very much BX based and then it moved to Xantia and now to C5! Evoloution in progress...
It's good also that some very good C5 people are here

i can honestly say before this c5 i have never considered a Citroen but when it come to new car time think the newer c5 will be way up the list
i dont know how people used to manage without all the friendly forums like here where there is always someone to share their valuable knowledge

Ooops.
Previously:
2009 Honda Civic :(
C5, C5, Xantia, BX, GS, Visa.
R4, R11TXE, R14, R30TX - x 4922
I don't think they were even though of when I bought my GS and there were very few such sites when I ran a BX.i dont know how people used to manage without all the friendly forums like here where there is always someone to share their valuable knowledge
Never even thought of it when I had a Xantia but on the plus side I didn't really have many issues with it - heater matrix was the only one and I wouldn't have attempted that anyway. It always just worked and worked very well. It was a sad day when it was trailered away through no fault of it's own.
Sadly Xantias are becoming the new wave of BX's and no doubt as Jim says the forum will morph into a predominantly C5 one. Which is regrettable as in many ways I believe that the Xantia is the better car - the Activa unquestionably so.
With dwindling manufacturer support and no help at all from the government they will presumably take their place alongside the DS/GS/BX and be the sole preserve of die-hard enthusiasts.
Certainly the site and some of those like it are an invaluable resource, without substitute. The collective knowledge and skills are second to none and all based on practical experience - just as you have discovered sportingfiat
