I would show my face but have a heavy load on this weekend.
On top of various other jobs a new suite is being delivered tomorrow and I have to remove all the doors and dismantle the staircase railings and posts to get it upstairs and into the sitting room.
I'd rather be in Little Horwood, no question!

Well I enjoyed the DSM, pretty good weather too!
Havne not done much since apart from strip and rebuild a height corrector I got from Kev, thanks again Kev!
Its not very difficult either, im yet to swap it for the one currently on the car!

Still need to get to the root of the tremendous air leak I apparently have somewhere in my turbo piping, as chris found out when he had a drive in the Xm.

Im hoping to attend the national, but am tempted to spend the weekend trying to get the Cx ready for the CXM probably to much welding needed though!
Maybe ill just go on the sunday!

Well work has commenced on the 2.5 diesel Cx! :D

I was hoping to get the welding done and MOT it for the Cx rally, however i seriously doubt that will happen having looked at the rust!

Thats perhaps one of the less rusty parts, i think this car has lived in the sea at some point, although oddly the bodywork is in very good nick!

More pictures later, me and Mr Angry Grinder are going to have a word with the car...

That's not that much rust really!

Here's some links to that scrap Pallas that I'm breaking ATM.

It's worse on the other side too:

Dave,

That's minor rust 8-) Any owner of a Brit classic would have that dealt with before breakfast!!!

On a totally unrelated point, I'm coming to Norwich on Friday to visit the University with Robyn. She's potentially looking to do nursing there. If you're about.....

Well I only managed to put a couple of plates in, with some poor welding! First time and all that, with no sandblaster i reckon its probably a 5 year fix at most.

More work in a couple of weeks, i will definately be filling up the sills with used engine oil when its done.

Sadly im at work on friday Jim, I didnt know Robyn was crazy! no seriously its not that bad, good for her, its a nice university and of course norwich itself is good. Is she thinking Diploma or Degree?

A five year fix Dave? Surely you can do it sooner than that

Have a look at some of the classic magazines for a bit of inspiration. They seem to be able to rescue metal that has taken on the appearance of lace!

A degree Dave. She was fascinated to observe the Orthoptist giving my vision the once-over today at MK Hospital...

So you'll be travelling by Ornithopter now Jim?
I knew that Citroen had a bash at helicopters but that seems quite daring.

I didn't see if she had wings Steve   Lovely thought though, it would certainly make travelling easier if we could fly...

It seems odd, given that they looked at virtually every other form of transportation, that Citroen never looked at flight. The mind boggles at what they might have come up with if they did...

Been outside on the Xm today attempting to get the turbo to do something other than squeal loudly.

I removed as many pipes as I could get to, but its made no improvement at all, My ramps have been left at my parents so I cant get underneath the car either

I dont think new turbos are cheap but mine seems knackered :( I really could do with it for france as overtaking is rather difficult, indeed my dad now calls the car "the tank" and asked where the turret was!

I cant get it to squeel whilst stationary though, it will only do it when drivng and above 2000 revs.

As soon as I get the ramps ill try disconnecting the pipes to the turbo, as yet ive managed the ones to the inlet manifold, anyone good with turbos....

I had a turbo a bit like this on an Xantia 2.1, but it was quite smokey as well.

Turbo was a goner in the end :(

If you need another why not ask the people on ebay whon are selling 2.1td blocks if they still have the turbos :)
