ragger wrote:Sounds like a really good adventure, probably needing "lashings of ginger beer". Some interesting photos to look at.

I went to the Glasgow Riverside Museum last week end which is the rehoused Transport Museum, and while there isn't much French stuff there apart from a 2CV and a Renault 8, I do recommend it. It has expanded upon and improved the original displays that we visited a few years ago. But it isn't Paris...

It really was an excellent adventure!

I notice there is going to be a small gathering of DS at the Glasgow Riverside Museum this Sunday, shame im busy or I might have gone.

Chris, looking at a couple of the photo's of the rear of XM's it looks as if you were standing on the bonnet of a couple of BX's, I take it they didn't mind you doing that as they were only BX's? :P

If I compare this with BMW Automobile Tradition, the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the Storia Fiat, or the the Alfa-Romeo Museum, it looks like Citroen would like to forget its automotive past.
I've seen private collections that were better presented.

Have to say that, even though the Conswervatoire is poorly presented, at least the cars are there and viewable, if with difficulty. What future for the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust? And don't forget, General Motors has just downsized its automobile collection.

Yes, a few BX bonnets were sacrificed in the taking of those photos, worth it though! Or perhaps my height comes into an advantage at times

They are poorly presented in that you can't get around them. However to do so would require a lot more space and no doubt a lot more trust in the viewing people ... I was quite happy with how they were set out and they were all very immaculate.

I had the V6 out this evening, I had not moved it in over a week. Strange though that the knocking from the front near side wheel had gone :? I did about 40 or 50 miles of varying driving and nothing. Then when I came to go out later the nock was back. Generally when coming to a stop and pulling away, but sometimes over bumps. I'll have a good look at it over the weekend and see what I find, still drives nice and tight and the nock is not felt through the steering. Im thinking it might be a brake causing the nose, maybe when it heats up. We had a similar problem with the C15. Otherwise, its going like a dream, its a car I really look forward to driving ...
