Payback Time

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hi ,
Just sent money to Jon via paypal. Whether I chose wrong title in the Personal ( I chose gift ), I don't know, but PP wanted to charge 54p. It gave you the choice for fee to be paid by giver or receiver, so I paid it anyway.

Just a reminder --- this is NOT the forum hosting fund. This is a separate appeal aiming to raise £500 @ £10 each from 50 persons for Jon's personal use. Jon has been generous to a fault over the years in funding both forums out of his own pocket and now he unfortunately finds himself in financial difficulties.

Please help if you can.

Payback fund paying Instructions :-

You can pay by paypal to webmaster@bxclub.co.uk including your user name and the word "payback" in the message.

You can also pay directly into Jon's account using internet banking or by using a paying-in slip at any Barclays branch. Send me a pm for further details.

Many thanks for you generosity and support.
David

If addo can explain how he went about it, I shouldn’t be far behind.

Hi Clogzz,

He has arranged to post it to me (using recorded delivery at my insistence).

If you want to go this route please pm me for details.

You would need to convert it to GBP at your end.

Many thanks,
David

Don’t have PayPal, credit card or anything like that.
Call up your friendly local bank and ask which branches exchange foreign currency (usually larger shopping centres). Purchase price will be spot rate plus a service fee of between $5 and $10. GBP are small, thin notes that are quite "papery" and whitish.

Then you just interleave it with a few printed pages of some technical PDF and send over. Staple the corner of it all, if you're keen.

It still exists and is in fact active Mike. Problem is, you cannot merge all the posts you've made as superloopy1 into it :(

Apologies for the delay in sorting mine out, not had a chance to go to bank recently. Will try to get it done soon.
