Haven't seen it covered, but watched a recording of "tinker, tailor, soldier, spy" - not the Alec Guiness one The car of choice was a Deese, I think. Lovely to see it wafting around London!!

Just thought of a few others . . .

Blue Metallic Renault Alpine A610 Driven by Stephen Yardley / Ken Masters in Howards Way.
Same car also in Eldorado ... Soap. Wonder if it was the same one used in both series ?
White Renault 30TS in The New Avengers.
Citroen Mehari in El CID, With John Bird and Alfred Molina.
Black Citroen DS23 in advert . . years ago, May have been for Black Magic Chocolates ?
Citroen SM, Blue Green Metallic, Owned by The Contessa (The Lovely/Sadly Late, Nyree Dawn Porter) in The Protectors.
Silver 504 Saloon made to roll, driverless, into path of persuers by Roger Moore in The Persuaders. :rofl2: :rofl2: :-D :-D :-D :-D
Silver 403 Cabriolet of COLUMBO. Different cars used throughout series, Some had strange Wire Rack on Dash top, thought to retain items on Dash ??

In The Transporter: The Series

They had a red Xantia S2 registration number B RR 9002 on The Switch, series 1 episode 10 of 12.

The Transporter driver in his Audi is trying to get away from a motorcyclist who is chasing him. At one point during the chase an under a railway bridge structure like the one seen in the French connection film an Xantia appears.

The all metal structure of the bridge is an open design with parking, and roadways underneath it so they can drive around, and through various parts of it.
As the Xantia tries to enter one of the areas underneath the bridge the Audi comes speeding out, but the Xantia stops quickly, and the Audi manages to swerve past it.

This was not the case with the motorbike, and it ends up going up,and over the front of the Xantia, and over the roof jumping off the back of the car.

Although there was a difference between the encounter with the car, and then the bike.

This was the fact that seen from the side as the bike rode over it, that the suspension had been lowered!

So the stunt team had made use of this, and might have picked the car because of the benefit of the lower, and more solid platform when lowered.

The car was not an Activa or a V6, and did not have a rear spoiler.

Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation [2015]
"Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate - an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF."

A C5 II Sedan is seen in the movie but the main sponsor is BMW which is made very visible with a wide range of models.

In the film Erased.

The main character Aaron Eckhart trying to keep mobile, breaks into a yellow Renault Extra van.

I was expecting to see more french cars in this film, but it was not to be, and the car that Aaron had before the plot developed was a Saab.

Edit.............

I reviewed the film before deleting it off the hard drive on my pvr, and before reading the following post from NewcastleFalcon.

So, I will correct myself, and add other french car spots I have seen in the film two posts forward of this one.

The IMCDB site is a useful tool in identifying vehicles in movies/tv etc. Here's the Renault from "Erased" (AKA The Expatriate)

Image

Theres also the IMPdb which identifies aircraft in movies. Here's the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 from the Movie

So the other french cars seen in Erased were..................

Xsara Picasso (not listed on that database)
Clio (not listed on that database)
Espace
Nemo
607
Trafic
Boxer
206 (not listed on that database)

Others without the brackets were listed on that database.

That database is useful and lists a lot including a coach (Van Hool T915 Acron) seen in the background, but I did see other (french cars not coaches  ) vehicles in the background which it missed.

That's
Lieutenant-Colonel David Niven, the film actor, smiles for the photographer while sitting in a commandeered Citroen car with a Royal Engineers officer, during his service with Phantom GHQ Liaison Regiment in France.

The blurb definitely says "commandeered Citroen Car" but the door has a very straight line at the front, and is hinged at the front, so opens normally. David has also got his hand through the windscreen!

These would seem to rule out my guesses of a Citroen TPV, and a Citroen 11CV. Then again it may not be a Citroen at all....

Stumped for now
