I agree, but why not get it from the Irfanview website and while you are there make a small donation. :D
I'm so used to using Filehippo as I know they are OK - some sites charge for downloads (or try to) and some include crap you are better off without.

By default I look there first to see if they have it, except for Firefox.

This is true, which is why I always look/ask for recommendations from trusted sources before downloading anything.

Never just Google for something and grab the first link, or search file sharing services. You are just asking for trouble.
