Anyone on here (apart from me that is!) driving one in the Rochdale area today? Spotted one the double of mine (except for being T-reg) at about 6.30pm. Can't think when the last time I saw another Activa was!

I love that phrase Steve :D Describes very eloquenly how an Activa goes around corners
I agree that fusslessness is quite descriptive if of somewhat questionable lineage but even-kNeeled?

I believe the saying this misspells is 'on an even keel' being all nautical,
ship shape and Bristol fashion? The good ship Activa is always steady as
she goes?

"Dad and daughter salvage" - I like that, even if they are breaking an Activa...

I contacted them within minutes of the very first listing weeks ago and
couldn't get any sense out them! Name a price you want to pay, no, tell
me how much you normally sell engines for, no make us an offer etc etc
- the emails to and fro got very tedious and I wasn't getting anywhere so
although my loss I decided to leave it as a dead loss.

What didn't give me any confidence either was their vagueness when I
asked about the rams, the engine, the strut tops and the door rubbing
trims and grille (my red one REALLY needs a decent grille) and I couldn't
get pictures or descriptions of condition either let alone a single price
so god knows how they do business!

A value is needed as some benchmark for haggling although I never ever
bother finding the whole process unseemly and tacky!

Anyhow, good luck - maybe they've wised up a bit!

Seen this BTW:

Looks like a sunroof car too - not something you see every day!

Hi the vehicle is being brocken as the owner didin't want to spend any money replacing the breaks. The vehicle is a petrol not TD so guess the pipes would not be the same and the foglights i will take a offer for as a couple of people have asked for them.

Spotted rad Activa with leather interior today heading from stainforth to barnby dunn in doncaster tonight, looked like suspension was on high or intermediate as the ride looked rough and car high.

Was N48 NAH or such like i think, guy looked surprised i had kept up with him during an overtaking manouvre of a slow moped, must not get that very often with TD or HDi xantias to be honest :D

That picture from dad and daughter salvage of the "Xantia" demonstrates what one would be like on very low profile tyres, and when lowered or if it sinks, looks very close to the ground.

That other one on ebay is not available for sale whole so i would say its a victim of the scrappage scheme as it looks pretty decent and is a mk2 as well :( real shame that.

Driving through a housing estate on my way home from a friends today i noticed a lovely looking Activa. S2 in silver, i think it was an S reg. Looked very tidy with no body marks, although it was in low and looked to have been parked there a short time.

I cant remember seeing an Activa on the roads around here for years now, so thought that was very nice to see.

I did wonder about putting a note under the wiper, 'good home here if unwated'
