Unbelievably so.

If it takes you more than 10 mins with the shaft out you need a beating.

Anyway, haven't you a certain job to do?

Impossible to do with the driveshaft fitted...

Dead easy with the driveshaft out though. Lever out the old one and gently tap the new one home with a large block of wood...

Oh yes, done ;)

How easy is it to get the drive shaft out?

On the LH side you don't need to fully remove the shaft. Just release the bottom swivel joint and pull the hub and driveshaft sufficiently far out so the gearbox end of the shaft just clears the gearbox.

the RH side is a tad trickier as you need to release the intermediate bearing from its housing but the basic task is the same...

you'll need 19mm deep socket, 21mm deep socket (or 22mm depending on who made the swivel joints) balljoint splitter 35mm socket and an 11mm socket/ratchet spanner. Also required is a big mug of tea.

I wondered what you two were on about until I had to feed some fish to my linux before going up to bed.

I've now ordered the following:
082715 spring
082716 spring guide
213013 clutch pedal cover
402687 big o-ring for hydraulic pump

For the princely sum of £14.15
I had to borrow someone's VIN number from another thread as Perry's couldn't find the part numbers on their system and don't like randomly searching through service.citroen.
Hopefully the pedal cover is the right one, I'm pretty sure the one they gave me before is 213015 which is too small.
Parts should be in on Wednesday so this weekend Jenny's engine should be running ready for an oil change :)

So tomorrow, if I get the chance, I'll head to GSF Bedford, speak to the lovely Angie and get a rocker cover gasket, oil filter, gearbox oil and a fuel filter ready for the weekend.

Managed to pop into GSF and have a chat with Angie (she does know the meaning of good customer service), picked up 2L of gearbox oil, 5L of hydroflush (now in a grey total bottle that reminds me of Castrol), and a rocker cover gasket.
Tomorrow I'll be swinging by the dealer who should have the parts I ordered so with a bit of luck Jenny's engine will be running by the end of this Saturday.
