Danielle and I went out for lunch with mum and dad over at Westcroft.
On the way home, Danielle and I spotted an estate with some rather nice looking houses, so we went for a drive to see what we'd buy when we win the lottery.
We pulled over to sort out her headrest as it was too high, and spotted a Delorian
Now, I don't know about you, but since Back to the future came out, I've always liked them, although if Doc Brown was as smart as he was supposed to be, he'd have whacked in a diesel and BTTF3 would have been a lot shorter.

One yank tank that actually looks attractive and desirable. No wonder it failed...Xac wrote: We pulled over to sort out her headrest as it was too high, and spotted a Delorian
They also have a very good French connection. The engine is none other than the famous PRV V6

Not sure if it was the 12V or 24V that was fitted. 24 valves may have been just a little too much for any yank to bear in the early 80s; besides they'd just about got over the shock that engines could actually be made of aluminium and camshafts could be perfectly successfully located in cylinder heads and pushrods were not mandatory...
Heady stuff

Reached over to swing the passenger sunblind down in Cassy on the way home yesterday, there was a "crack" and it flopped down to about 45 degrees.
So it seems something inside has broken, there doesn't look like a way of opening it up without splitting the seal, so I'll have to hunt for a replacement.

Jumped on the scales in Boots today while Danielle did some shopping for our holiday.
21.5 stone so I'm down a little bit.
The machine also checks your BMI and % of fat.
Apparently to be my "ideal" weight, I'd need to lose every ounce of fat and 4Kg of the rest (so basically my head).
Hmm, don't think I'll be doing that any time soon!

I had the BMI test done by my doctor a while back and I fall just the right side of anorexic

So what's there now? An estate of 250,000 social housing rabbit hutches?
I've got a visor or two knocking about

We need to estanblish a specialist Xantia breaker along the lines of the specialist 406 Coupe outfit up in Chesterfield.Xac wrote:Other than A5 (where you're at the mercy of their car butchers to remove parts and inflate the prices accordingly) where is there around our way for scrap parts?
When the lottery is won!
Pop round any time for a visor or two...

Yes, but Jim I found when trying to get stuff in the wheelie bin that when it builds up it needs pushing down.CitroJim wrote:Xac, you're a full 10 st. heavier than IXac wrote:Jumped on the scales in Boots today while Danielle did some shopping for our holiday.

Now I have seen things in the inserts that come in the newspapers, and they are a metal frame for compressing your bin contents.
Although why buy things that take up storage space, and use up/waste money. I would rather do it the low tech way, and jump in the bin, yes feet first.

That way I get the compression I need at no cost!
So I am sure that Xac could do it more effectively, therefore being well built is useful.

As my weight is slightly > CitroJim's, but somewhat < Xac's I have to resort to jumping up, and down after stepping on it like grapes, when the neighbours are not looking!
Note this applies to the bin with recycling items, which is made worse by all the packaging we get nowadays.
I am tempted to leave it behind at the till, like a story I heard about in the papers of customers leaving it behind at the supermarket, and making their rubbish their problem to dispose of.

Danielle and I had the afternoon off to have our holiday jabs, so I took the oppertunity to swing by Perrys and pick up some hydraulic pump seals (don't I take Danielle to the most romantic places?).
They had 3 left. Unlike some other dealers, they will order the pack of 5/10 and just charge you for the number you actually asked for, so these are probably either ones left over from Juliet or maybe Jim
After treating Danielle to a trip round Ikea, I whisked her off to B&Q (told you I was romantic) and bought a length of clear tubing to investigate air ingress between the grenade and clear pipe out of the fuel filter.
