Just to add to RichardW's post there:
Another way to check whether it's the 90 or the 110 is to check the VIN (which you should do anyway when buying a car - compare it to the V5)
If the VIN contains RHY then it is a 90, RHZ then it it is a 110.
These I believe are actually codes (note not engine codes, these are different) from Citroen so I think its a reliable way to tell.

A £1000 car can easily become a £2000 car if it needs work. Even if the tyres are worn it's going to add £300, brake discs could add another £100-£200 so a car that appears to be overpriced by £1000 could turn out to be a good deal if it's well looked after.
