Xantia 1.9td hard to start in the morning, Help!

Worth checking the rocker cover screws are tight. They should only be hand tight with a largeish screwdriver - but I found one had come unscrewed on our ZX - causing an oil leak. Tightening all of them solved the problem.

I replaced the hoses for less than a fiver and it was very straight forward to do in only a few minutes.
The car starts straight away every time now. Only wish I hadn't replaced the glow plugs for the second time in a year trying to work out what the problem was
