Any Irish punters on here might be interested to know that Aldi are selling 'Maryland' brand veg oil for €0.99/litre at the moment. 8)

Hi, I couldn't help noticing that there seems to be a desperation about buying the cheapest veggie oil and I do appreciate your plight as i to used to burn pure veggi oil in my xantia 1.9TD estate.
please beware of Makro/bookers bulk veggie oil drums it contains platicisers which prevent it catching fire in vast chip shop frying vats if it wont catch fire because of addatives it wont burn properly in your xantia and can gum up your engine as if you have fed it linseed oil, trust me I learnt the hard way. so its yes to pure vegatable oil and No to reconstituted oil such as ASDA's own make PLEASE READ THE LABEL before you buy it will save you a hell,of alot of money, remember Pure is the key to a nice clean burn.

Now that diesel prices are down again, it's as cheap or cheaper to buy diesel again.
Funny how the supermarket shelves are full of veggie oil again.....
I wonder if they think it was such a good idea to whack up the veggie oil prices now

120ppl for diesel versus 86ppl for SVO, its still a no brainer for me as my car will now run 100%, but i have a small supply of WVO which reduces that cost even further.

Simply order online.
Order 26 tubs of 2 Litre Vegetable oil(1.95 each) and then proceed to checkout. then input the coupon code(bottom of the page) Save15.
This will knock £15 off your order making it 75p/litre.
This code will work on two orders.

Then for the next 2 orders use the code Save30. this does the same thing!

Then its either £3 per order to pick it up, OR £5 per order delivery.

Bragains me thinks and its Rapeseed oil as well so pretty good
