Is there any way to remove the alarm from a S2 Xantia?

If you can find someone with a Lexia then it can be disabled via the Lexia.

As far as I know the box, known as the CPH body computer (located on top of the heater box behind the glove box) also controls the immobilser so removing it will cause a few problems when starting the car

One of the useful things about S2 Xantia alarms is that the CPH keeps a record of the last 15 causes of the alarm being set off, as well as the facility to test the ultrasonic sensors reacting to movement inside the car, provided of course that you have a Lexia to connect to the car

What a wonderful thing that Lexia is, can you get it to speak? It could give you a running commentary of everything that's going on while you're driving. It'd be like Star Trek "Computer, how much ignition advance are we running?"

Correct, it also controls the central locking & interior lighting aswell.

Unfortunnately citroen have taken away the triggering memory feature on their new alarm systems on all the newer models, only CPH controlled alarms (mk2 Xantia, mk1 xsara & synergine) alow you to read the triggering memory. Its a shame because its a really usefull feature if your alarm is false triggering.

Thanks for the replies. I'll pass the information on to the next owner who will be collecting it on Tuesday, I'm getting my old Xantia back in part exchange. Its alarm has been disabled by the simple removal of a fuse
