I was discussing the horrendous swirl marks on the otherwise excellent Admiral blue Xantias paint work to a bloke in a bodyshop I know, and how to remove them.
I think the car must have been washed in a sandstorm at some time.
He threw a 1/4 full bottle of 3M hand glaze, and told me to try it.
Wash, polish and then wipe this liquid on....sillicone and wax free.
Seems to be non abrasive too, and simply fills in the swirl marks.
Now I'm not saying the paintwork has got a 100% mirror finish, but the original excellent paintwork is now positively gleaming!
Highly recommended for those that like their pride and joy to look good, and available from any body shop product supplier such as Browns etc.

Problem is the glaze will only last a very short time. Depending on how bad the swirls are you need to either medium or ultra-fine cutters and "cut" the car using a rotary buffer (yeah the ones that'll burn the paint edges off if your not careful). Once you have removed the swirls, the 3M glaze will then make a dramatic difference. The new 3M glaze needs to be machine applied, so you'll have to be careful which one you grab
