Those bulbs sound good Are they still available? I've lost the original eBay ad for them now. If you still have details, I'd appreciate it.

I do like that 8)
Is it legal to drive around with the fogs on since they are now yellow and more like driving lights?

Only if the visibility is below 100 meters, the colour of head and fog lights can be white or yellow.Citroenmad wrote:Is it legal to drive around with the fogs on since they are now yellow and more like driving lights?

No the colour is irrelevant when it comes to when you are legally allowed to use them, its the distance of visibility.Citroenmad wrote:I see, doesnt make a difference on the colour then.
SWIMBO's 93 Clio had yellow fog lights fitted as standard, inside the fog light was a yellow filter presumably along the same lines as the ones in the headlights of my DS.

Its not the colour or beam pattern that designates them as foglights, its the distance from the ground, headlights and sides of the car, you could put 5w bulbs in the fog units but you would still not be allowed to drive with them on.

So what about my C5s foglights then?
They are in the headlights but still do the job of foglights. I often drive with them on actually as it does light up the edges of the road so much better and fills in the dark spot infront of the car. Though no one would know its got the foglights on as they are not in the lower bumper.

They have to be no more than 1.2m above the ground no more than 400mm in from the side of the vehicle and have to be positioned no further out than the main driving lights i think, there was a maximum distance apart too but it seems the rules have changed at some point, like they did for Dim dip requirements, im sure the strip running lights on Audi's have only come about because of new lighting regs too.

Damn cold snowy weather
My rear screen seal has lifted and split
Not best pleased to say the least, i had a day planned of cleaning and fixing a few bits and bobs. This ended up with a quick trip to the handwash and then an afternoon of sulking about the seal
Im going to call my car insurance and see if it is covered.....hoping at least.
If not, Im umming and ahhing about the best way to fix it? New seal i reckon which i presume its a large job best suited to a bodyshop. A DIY job will perhaps end up with the rear screen getting busted?
Was wondering if a complete tailgate in my colour existed anywhere....The paint on mine is a bit thin on the top surface where the spoiler sits. Kill two birds with one stone?...well 3 birds as my spoiler has a paint fault on one corner too....
The hill at the moment seems steep to get the car ready for shows this year.....The engine bay is nearly done and ready....just a decal to make and the front of the block to paint, and a new horn to install But i have quite a few other jobs to get done

Im sure theres pleanty of Maritious Blue cars Vince!
Id be interested in a Maritious Blue car for parts too, for my V6.. I could Do with a rear bumper, as theres a few scratches on it..
Its quite a common problem Ive noticed, theres 3 here around me that are bad,
Hows the wheel well? I guess you might not be happy, as you've not mentioned it..

I need a nearside and a driver's front door and a mint s2 bonnet.
Not 100% mind if the blue changed on the s1 to s2 but I've parked
both series Activas together and it'd be tiny/subtle if there is a change
between them. Would a s2 rear bumper work on your s1 v6 Paul
Would you want a spoiler back on yours Vince as I'm not 100% they
were standard on s1's except the Activa?
