You're not wrong there... but, to be honest, I've paid £55 a month back for 12 months, so it's cost me the same as buying the damn thing for cash would have done anyway.Stickyfinger wrote:So many C2W bikes are never ridden to work !...LOL

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
I could so easily cycle to work but I don't and won't because the road is lethal to cyclists... I pass a few brave souls who do and I fear for them...
I really don't like cycling on roads at all... Some motorists are really great but sadly I find the majority just simply fail to be aware or appreciate your presence.
I do not feel safe at all..
Mind you, pedestrians on cycle paths I find alarming too... Most are blissfully unaware of your presence and don't seem to respond to a bike bell or know what to do... Often I have to shout a warning of my presence....
I'm bemused...

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
Honest question......always wondered but never asked
Why do you guys wear these strange colours/outfits......I understand it if you are racing and you need that micro second....is it not the same as putting on a full nomex suit and gloves to drive out to the garden center or a full Jockey out fit for a plod down the lane on your horse
she looks happy

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
I don't (although I do have lycra shorts) - but it's the same reason as people wear football shirts to go the pub / park I guess....team identity!
Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
I don't wear any team colours, though I do have a set of the Colombian mens team colours which someone bought me. Lycra shorts with proper padding are great because unlike cloth, they don't ride up your backside or chafe. They stay exactly where they are supposed to, that's why I wear them. It also "breathes" better so it's stays drier than a soaked cottonT-shirt on a sweaty day.
There's a lot of fat men on bikes around here who wear Bradley Wiggins Team Sky colours. It looks hilarious.

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
I do put something over my cycling shorts Sticky... Either another pair of shorts or normal jeans...
I am conscious of how we look wearing just them and act accordingly...

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
If I'm going somewhere that requires it - supermarket, shops etc, I usually take a pair of shorts in my rucksack and slip them over the top when I get there. Wearing them over the top while riding defeats the object of the things.Stickyfinger wrote:Can you not put some trousers on over the top, may be hide ya bollocks fellas ?, it puts me off my hot dogs road side, especially the day-glow ones flapping past me
Personally I think trying to walk in cycling shoes looks more ridiculous!

C4 de-sumped and de-strainered. Seems to be OK
Not going to block up again

Re: Confessions of a Citroholic
Fingers crossed that'll be the end of that one, Richard! How easy is it to take the sump off that engine? Our 207 has a very slight leak from the sump gasket. I've wondered about resealing it several times but I've never had the inclination to do it.
