Scrap steel, about 10 pence / kg !
I've driven the HDi Grand Space Picasso Tourer, Jim - think my dad's was the 1.6 HDi and a recent hire car would have been the 1.5 based on its age.
Goes fine, the DV6 / DV5 copes fine.

Thought it was one of these: With a cafetiere rather than a keg!

Well, a good rest can help your body to recover from illnesses and so on. I remember a story from James Herriot where he was visiting a sheep farm, and there was a ewe that looked like it was dying (that is what both the farmer and James believed). For financial reasons the farmer could not have it humanely put down, so (when nobody was looking) James gave the ewe a massive sleeping dose. Several days later James had to visit the farm again, and to his surprise that ewe was up and healthy. That very long sleep allowed her to recover. James used this discovery to help other animals.CitroJim wrote: ↑23 Jun 2024, 18:59 Looking back on the past 24 hours from 6PM last evening until 6PM this evening it's been sleep - Junior parkrun - short sleep - ride to and back from the BikeBus - long sleep (most of the afternoon) - get something to eat and then to bed around 8PM..
Currently I'm spending more time asleep than awake The sleeping pattern of a cat...
I'm seeing Autumn and Robyn later today - that covers the last paragraph of the above rather nicelyA nice gentle run early this morning Feeling a bit of an improvement after sleeping most of yesterday
I'm still very much bumping along at the bottom of the curve but the trend appears to be on the up
All volunteer work, with the exception of Junior parkrun, is on indefinite hold until my recovery is complete. To this there will be absolutely no exceptions.
For that recovery to progress I need lots and lots of social contact and coffee so always happy to meet up at a nearby café for a chat, coffee and cake

Langthwaite, Arkengarthdale...from the opening credits
That depends on which version of ACGAS that was filmed. You have the original from 1978 (with Christopher Timothy and Robert Hardy), or the recent version starting in 2020 (with Nicholas Ralph and Samuel West).Stickyfinger wrote: ↑26 Jun 2024, 10:30 Good lord....even the curtains are the same !....they have been up for 80+ years !
