Wow! That looks like fun :D I've done the course marking job a few times now and done the reverse of de-marking. It's amazing how long it takes and how heavy a full stock of signs are... Against that, as you put them out your load lightens...

A bit late to the party on this but I thought it worth linking here in case the interested parties don't look at the thread it's on :-D Going back to the discussion a couple of weeks ago about oil remaining in the sump when the plug is inset into the case I bought this to alleviate that problem if it comes up in the future!! Only saying! :-D

Meanwhile, having seen Alasdair's account of devastating rust under the rear window rubbers on his AX, I had a look under Bluebell's rear window seals today..

Nearside is perfect :)

Offside, I've caught just in time...
53763762033_d25cb100a3_k.jpg
A bit of surface rust but nothing serious and easily treatable...

I'll be following Alasdair's advice to do the job so that there will be no further trouble with this...

I took Bluebell out and filled her up with petrol. First time in six months!

You can read all about it in the July issue of the Citroenian ;)

Alasdair's (Stickyfinger) blog covers it very well Ryan ;)

Having said that, the Citroenian is a very good monthly read and well worth the cost of joining the Citroen Car Club.

I've not done mine yet and it's be a few weeks now before I do - very poorly currently :(

Sorry to hear you are poorly (is that the right term again Jim - look after yourself.

Australia celebrated the King's Birthday with a holiday Monday (yesterday) - my family did our part with a bonfire and glow sticks. To cheer you up, here is my grand-daughter, adorned with glow sticks.

Which is a lot more than we did  :o As far as I'm aware it wasn't even mentioned here on Monday but then I guess the UK mass media is fixated with other things currently...

Thanks Matt :-D And precisely, where was ours?

Looking back, I never fully recovered from what got me in April and it all came to a head on Thursday evening when I collapsed just before taking up bike racing marshalling duties at the MK Bowl  Earlier, I'd enjoyed a great lunch with Mick at our favourite haunt and a cracking drive there and back in Bluebell.

Since then I've been well and truly out of action with what's been diagnosed as a severe ME relapse (very similar to Long Covid). Days are now spent in a largely comatose state with only a couple of hours early on when I'm reasonably mentally alert.

Needless to say, all running and cycling activities are on hold for the foreseeable  Life is now rather tedious whilst I do all I can to recover - I'm finding it very hard to keep myself amused and entertained. The most difficult for me is having had to cancel many planned activities and saying no when asked 'Can you?'

The April illness was viral - might even have been Covid - and this is how it all started 12 or so years ago. It feels like I'm right back at square one but at least this time I'm a lot fitter and generally healthier.

Writing this has used up an hour of my two hours-worth of daily alertness

Very sorry to hear that Jim - must have been alarming for your fellow cyclists/organisers to have you suddenly collapse on them! Hope the down time doesn't stretch on too much longer. Good thing you gave up work eh!

If you have the energy tomorrow morning for such trivia, I put a couple more photos of the bonfire in "Picture of the day"
viewtopic.php?p=802216#p802216

and here's one of the aftermath on Monday morning + one of all that's left today (Wednesday our time). At the RH end of the house you can see one last dead pine tree - his mates provided the bonfire fuel. They all died in our 2019 drought.

It's officially winter (according to our calendar), but we've had good rain and only light frosts, so everything's looking pretty good.

Sorry to hear about your 'crash' Jim. My daughter has ME/CFS and being mentally awake at school can make her 'crash' for weeks. Do you have any tips on how to manage it? You seem to go for a long time between crashes especially considering your physical and mental activities.
