Sorry to hear that Jim. I am in awe at how much energy you have, and how much you achieve when you are well. This forum benefits enormously from your knowledge and input, and no doubt all the other groups & forums you participate in get similar benefits. Overall, it looks as if your exercise regime has huge benefits - many of us could improve our health by emulating your regular exercise program.

It must be irritating for someone as motivated as you to just have to rest and do practically nothing until you recover, but we know you'll bounce back!

If Neil thinks restful photos are what you need, try this:

These butterflies have settled on the mud left by a drying creek in Western Queensland. They are resting and replenishing their strength, drawing moisture from the mud.

Out feeding the ducks with little 'un I was delighted to find we in MK have a small flock of black swans

Black swans is nasty buggers. :( They can be exceptionally aggressive and defensive - much more than yer average 'white' swan. 8-[

Black swans on and around the artificial lakes of Canberra are pretty chilled.

Gosh Robin, those black ones must be right bruisers. White ones in my experience can be pretty aggressive and vicious...

Great pictures Alec :D Used to love seeing the 'roos when we lived in your parish!

Monday sees me still rather unwell... Looks like I'm in for a long slog out of this latest relapse :( Ahh well, onwards and upwards the best I can...

Nothing of interest on the car/running/cycling/life in general to report...

Rather than bog your blog down with my pics Jim, thought I'd share a bit of the magic of Druridge bay with yourself and the rest of the FCF faithful here...

My 40M amateur radio mag. loop aerial is now properly mounted, rather than just resting against anything handy as it has for the past 9 years!!!
Looks like you’ve made that out of copper pipe - we know it’s a Time Machine …..that’s the only possible way you can do as much as you do
Ahh, so my claim it's an amateur radio aerial didn't fool you then ;)

Indeed, all made of copper pipe with an automotive ingredient - the 'G-Match' (the short thin pipe on the bottom right of the octagon) is made of a bit of kunifer brake pipe :)
Just catching up on things here & there and noticed the 'tenna. You're even way ahead of me here too Jim, beats my AM long wire & 5/8 wave silver rod for earwigging on the local 11m goons 8-)

Also before I forget and leave it too late, Merry Christmas (for 2030 of course!)

Sorry to hear it's a rough one, you'll be back though like the Terminator of the FCF :-D
