I'm sure if your really intent on matching it then a mould could be made using the existing ceiling. Probably would give that ago.

Yep, that's the basic technique I plan to try Ryan... To be honest, it doesn't need to be perfect as ones' eyes are not drawn to that area of the hallway...

I'm making good use of Frog Tape to mask off those items that do not need painting...

I hate, beyond all reason, paint where it really should not be and paint on electrical fittings annoy me intensely...

I can see me using a lot of Frog Tape during my decorating exploits... And Polyfilla :)

Unfasten the sockets and switches and let then stand off the wall surface on their wires Jim, less hassle than using masking tape and then removing it.

Which reminds me, I was doing some decorating for some friends and had removed them completely, they were dirty so gave them to the lady of the house to clean.

A big bang when I put one back. She had immersed them in soapy water. Not recommended.

Done that Steve and also masked to doubly ensure a neat job :)

And I want to be careful as all of my sockets and switches are brand-new from the rewire... My electrician would shoot me if I got paint on them!

For most purposes I find that the yellow Frog Tape is easier to use than the green.

I never knew it came in other colours Mike, I thought it was called Frog Tape because it's froggy green :)

The yellow one is for delicate surfaces while the green is multi purpose. I think the yellow one is a tad dearer IIRC!! :-D

The yellow is less sticky and is easier to reposition to get the edge exactly where you want it, and easier to remove when the time comes.

Yellow can also be used on wallpaper as it's a low tack
