Loads of small percussion holes would be the best option, then bolster the in-between bits out, alot less hassle and no damage to surrounding areasmyglaren wrote: 06 Sep 2023, 19:40Just about to post that and saw there was a nuther page
I searched high and low for on of mine last week. Kids must have them. Needed to cut a deeper back box to fit new light switches in the kitchen. Ended up using cold chisels.

I'm intrigued, about Jim's kitchen, apparently it needs to do flapjacks and drinks for FCFers...never had an invite... No idea why
Or would it turn into One Foot In The Grave house warming party? Great episode if you've seen it

Well done RyanRp0thejester wrote: 06 Sep 2023, 19:30 Cool, I get the most points though!!! Don't make me ask VAR to get involved!!

And here it is... A good quality Footprint one even

Until Mick found this one I did not have one. I do now and it's been invaluable for the ongoing kitchen demolition - in conjunction with a big pry-bar and a club hammer

I'm soon to leave for the West Country to deliver Sally to her new owner. She's almost going home!

Scaffolding up ready to do the bargeboards, guttering and soffits around the back..
My new door and newly clad porch...
Polly loaded for a tip run...
New sockets for the router/fibre interface, printer and backup server...
And the garage bargeboards and soffits renewed...
Work presses on today in my absence... The electrician will be installing my new consumer unit... Yesterday he fitted a new LED strip batten in my kitchen in place of the old flourescent... It's amazing

Re: Citrojim's AX, Saxo, Pixo, C3, Running and Cycling Tales

I feel your pain up in that attic in this weather... I ventured into mine last evening to retrieve something and I could bake bread up there!
I see your junction box Skull and raise you my cooker point - previously hidden behind tiling in my kitchen...
And my old cooker hood extractor wiring...
A great day yesterday

Happily, I can watch her restoration back to being superb again...
I'm hugely indebted to Mick for driving me home again. As always it all turned into a very enjoyable mini-adventure

And when we got back to mine we found rather amazing progress had been made on both the electrical work and external uPVC guttering. soffits and bargeboards

I now have a proper new consumer unit installed and my electrical installation is rapidly approaching being 18th regs. compliant

The external work has utterly transformed the look of my house. I love the contrast of the black guttering against the white boarding

Work continues today
