TBH if you are going to the trouble of taking it all apart, then a new set of springs, which shouldn't be too expensive, would be a good precautionary - doing all that, then finding a broken spring a week later would be
Richard, that's an excellent thing to do at the time

Akin to doing the water pump when you do a cambelt!
I have a good pair of spring compressors here and indeed, they are excellent workout for the arm muscles!
I had Daffodil's tyres fitted at my local tyre outfit... They're almost at the end of my street
With Covid their trade has suffered and they are hardly busy so were glad of a job to do! The fitter was worried about the integrity of Daffodil's sills despite my assurance they are perfect but despite that he did the job using the MoT ramp
He was very careful about tightening the wheel studs too and kept his rattle gun well away
The new tyres have made quite a difference and she now drives very sweetly indeed. The old tyres were both mismatched and sufficiently elderly to warrant replacement on age alone...
Here she is out on a road test to see how the new rubber felt and to give here a good winter warming run before I put her back to bed in her cosy garage

- Daffodil goes to church...
I even washed off the bit of road muck she'd collected on the run before letting her air-dry and garaging her...
So that's all the big jobs, except the strut top bearings, now done... That's by no means an urgent job and can wait until the weather is better...
There's still lots of little jobs to keep me occupied through winter and lockdown
