I do apologise for offending your sensibilities Alasdair ... The air did turn a shade of blue I must confess

They do say a good dose of profanity is a good pain killer and and by extension it must relieve stress too... That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ;)

Great news on the one-touch window mod :D

Does that mean I have a trip to Strasbourg coming up to answer my case in the European Court of Human Rights then?

Just get the summons in before Brexit ;)

The Hague, Crimes against Ears Court, that was verbal nerve gas !

Do not worry too much, they have Abbot and Corbyn ahead of you and they have 34,567 charges outstanding for spreading bullshit all over a country and 45,679 charges of grooming students.

Sometimes you have to 'abuse' things to make them work better. Take an Italian Tune Up, for example. By abusing the speed limit you clear the dross from the engine, making it burn more efficiently (hence why it should be done just before an MoT). Having a pint of beer each month can help the kidneys and liver. Abusing your ears probably helped clear any build up of ear wax. If anything, Jim should charge YOU for his medical assistance!

^^^ Many giggles!

I was well rewarded James, I left with a lovely clutch of eggs :D

Several of which are now in a quiche and a batch of special scones :)

Nice simple recipe for you, Jim (and it can be tweaked, should you so desire);

Two tablespoons of plain flour,
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 pinch salt
3 eggs,
Milk
Small tin of sweetcorn

Sieve the flour, bicarb and salt together. Add the eggs, and beat until smooth. Add sufficient milk to make a batter consistency of double cream. Drain the sweetcorn, add to the batter. Fry (small pancakes). Mum uses a serving spoon amount per pancake.

Only one problem James... Of all the vegetables in the world, sweetcorn is the one I dislike the most after ordinary potatoes

I'd substitute shallots I reckon...

I may well give it a go tomorrow sans sweetcorn. I was looking for something a bit different for lunch tomorrow and I reckon that will fit the bill a treat!

Thanks :)

I'm back :) It's been a very rough, difficult week and I needed to go offline for a while...

I've sort of caught up on happenings on here but I may well have missed some very important things as my brain is still not back to full working order... Actually it's unlikely it ever will be now but it's normally a bit better than it is at present!

No car news but today has been rather special. I ran my 'milestone' 50th parkrun in a personal best (PB) time this morning :D

That and another piece of excellent news I'm not yet able to publicly reveal has really make my weekend!

This was Sally earlier doing what she does best - being a light van and transporting a load of parkrun kit!

Tomorrow I'm off with my best bike to Newmarket Racecourse to take part in the Wiggle Spring Saddle sportive around rural Suffolk... It'll be somewhere totally new for me - never been to Suffolk (knowingly anyway!)...

Bike and kit all ready to go :)

Tomorrow morning all this plus food will be loaded into Sally for the trip to Newmarket :)

She really is a great little car :D

Like Norfolk, Suffolk is big on interesting village signs Jim and if you are "doing" rural suffolk, no doubt you will pass a few tomorrow. You could of course have your head down concentrating on your cycling rather than looking at the scenery :-D

Normally these rides do take us through some lovely villages and scenery Neil but sadly there is no opportunity to really stop and take photos or absorb it properly..

What I need is a camera attached to my bike, something like a GoPro, to capture the best bits!
