I rode many a mile on the IOW (before I learnt to drive...!). There is an annual round the island ride - I've done it a few times. It used to be sponsored by the local Timber yard, Morey's, which was run by my best Friend's Dad - who was a very keen cyclist!! http://www.cycleisland.co.uk/

I have got you a book to help you with gardening, Jim. I think you will enjoy it (the book, if not the gardening, that is).

Thanks James :) I only grow rhubarb and strawberries in my garden and I seem quite good at that...

I'm good at cooking rhubarb and making jam out of my strawberries too ;)

I did :) Looking forward to seeing you too Alasdair. Not sure what time I will be there as I have a lot to do here in the morning having been away a week... I should be there well before lunchtime though...

And I did! Especially up the hills :)

This was the ride:

And this was me, rather wet after being caught in two storms, at the finish :)

The week away was brilliant and did me a world of good. Today was the icing on the cake..

Not a bad drive home either but got caught in two downpours of biblical proportions...

Definitely hoping to put in an appearance tomorrow, though not entirely sure exactly when at present as the weekend is being on where I'm having to keep my plans rather fluid.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that storm soaked...was out with the dog when it arrived!

Don't think it's going to happen - have only just got back into the house from an earlier trip out.

Had been banking on a quiet day, however that hasn't materialised!
