Me caught in action during Saturday's Evans Cycles MK Sportive :D

This was quite early on in the ride and it was still perishingly cold but warmed up a treat as time went on...

It was a great ride and I finished in a very satisfactory time and at a very good pace... Thoroughly enjoyed :D

Indeed, when the Dons were first established as the old Wimbledon there was much argy-bargy and I believe some bad feeling still exists to this day..

Stadium is a great venue though - real premier league stuff.. Hosted some Rugby World Cup games back along...

I'll be back there tomorrow...

Just completed the MK Half Marathon (my first) in 1 hour and 53 minutes :D

It was a most awesome experience and I loved every second of it and every inch ran...

Got a rather lovely medal and a teeshirt for all that work!

Well done, Jim. My Mum ran the London Marathon in 2000, completing it in around 6 hours 40 minutes.

Excellent and a good time too. I can imagine she still feels very proud of her achievement to this day. I know I would. The London Marathon is my big ambition and one I'm now seriously working on ;)

I have a lot of training to do though...

She has 2 T Shirts from the London Marathon. One she got at the end of the Marathon itself, and I got her the other a couple of years back. Virgin Money (who now sponsor the London Marathon) worked out (in 2015, IIRC) that they were due to have their 1,000,000 runner cross the finishing line. They then came up with the idea that (if you knew the year and finishing time) people could buy T Shirts with their position in that 1 million. Mum was somewhere in the 400,000 group (but I cannot remember where).

Well done Jim!

I'd be dead after a tenth of that I reckon.

I can walk all day or sprint at a decent pace for a couple of hundred metres, but beyond that I've had it!

A year ago, I'd have been exactly the same! A year ago I'd not even started seriously running...

Like me, if you get the training in you could easily do it ;)

The secret is slow and steady... I was averaging just under 9 minute miles... The say the best way to approach it is to start slow and get slower... Not a bad policy in practice...

As a runner I'm a bit of a tortoise but toward the end of any run I end up passing an awful lot of hares!

So lovely to be back in Gabriel, she's so comfy and laid-back :D

Love her to bits :D

She won't be going anywhere next Thursday as that's International Cycle To Work Day ...

I know how you feel Jim. The new C4 is so easy to drive and relaxing.

Yes, Same sort of ethos! The 207 is not built for comfort and is far from laid-back.. It demands to be ragged everywhere

I presume you mean C5 and not C4!
