It should cycle through something like: real time MPG; distance since reset; average MPG since reset; miles to empty tank; date each time you press the stalk button. If you press and hold the button it will reset it. It stops counting at about 6213 miles (10,000km) and the MPG doesn't update.

Ahh, now that's good to know Richard and likely why Robyn, when she had the car, said the MPG display was 'stuck' . That would explain it as for me after a reset - same procedure and cycle as in the XM remarkably - it's been working as expected and recording around 38mpg...

In other Pug news, I note i's using a bit of oil. Since the last oil change and that was only about 100 miles ago, the level has dropped buy about a quarter of an inch on the dipstick already :o It's not leaking it so it must be drinking it!

It was doing this quite badly in Robyn's ownership and several times I found the oil level off the end of the dipstick...

Is it normal for an 85,000 mile TU to use this much?

Is it me, or does CitroJim appear to no longer be embarrassed about something. His name tag is no longer red.

Not a thing to report on the car front :) None have seen hardly any use apart from the Pug of Love which, despite it's thirst for oil and it's mind of its own central locking, has been running perfectly...

I will soon go and run up the two Xantias and check they are still good. Not touched either in two weeks or so now!

I've been doing a lot of running, cycling and swimming recently...

This morning I smashed my 10K PB on a glorious run out in the early morning sunshine... It was excellent and I did the 10K in under an hour. Delighted with that :)

All good training for the MK Half Marathon in a couple of weeks time...

It was just like today actually, it started warm (I had to remove layers before starting to run in parkrun) but got gradually cooler... I noticed it because we had to sit outside the café to get a decent enough signal on a 3G wireless dongle to be able to process and upload the parkrun results...A surprisingly complex job, requiring much careful work to correlate the results from two stopwatches and two barcode scanners. It's cold work sitting staring at a laptop in just a thin running top!!!

Had to be done as the parkrunners are always desperate to get their time/stats email as soon as possible after their run!

Today I've checked over all three cars - the Activa especially for the X Rally next Sunday - and swapped Gabriel back to daily duties for the week. The Pug of Love can have a little rest...

All three are faultless..

I then got a bit of weeding and tidying done in the garden, along with a quick lawn mow just before it started raining :)

I can relax and take it easy now for the rest of the day - by my standards anyway.. Hope the weather will allow a bike ride later...

Just enjoyed a truly fantastic Cycle Sportive around the pleasant countryside to the south of Milton Keynes ;)

It was 36 miles of pure joy and pleasure and I rode in the company of many hundreds of fellow cyclists in, at times, quite large pelotons...

I was shocked at just how good I am on a bike... Being mainly a solo lone-wolf rider I rarely get to pit myself against others in a semi-competitive environment but when I do I get a very pleasant surprise...

My best bike is a bloody good one too... Tubeless tyres work!

Here is the ride on Strava:

https://www.strava.com/activities/952684210/overview

A 16.6mph average speed on that sort of route is not at all shabby :)

Off out now to get the Activa all ready for the X Rally tomorrow and that'll include washing it (again) as it is very dusty...

Looking forward to the X Rally immensely ;)

Then I'll round off the day with a run I think... The bike ride barely touched the sides even though I did briefly generate 700 watts!

As I will be spending far too long sitting in my car tomorrow and generally being sedentary I thought I'd round off what has been a most excellent day with a short run...

That short run turned out to be a run of just under 7 miles at a pace that utterly smashed my previous 10K PB :D Delighted in the extreme!

Here it is on Strava:

https://www.strava.com/activities/953261346/overview

In between the bike ride and the run I also got the Activa washed and all ready for tomorrow's X Rally...

Here she is in all her splendour fresh out of the bath :-D
